Default Where to go for 6 week industrial training??

I'm doing B.Tech., Computer Science & Engg. Fourth semester is about to end and We are supposed to do a 6 week Industrial training in following holidays. So what kind of companies I can apply in???

My Skills:
C. I know most of the stuff that you encounter in introductory books like Let Us C (and I'm currently rereading K&R, the ultimate C book)
C++. Know the basic concepts and simple implementations.
I also know a little about Version control system , Assembly, Computer Arch., basic HTML etc.
VB. I've been coding in VB for last 3 years (irregularly though), so I'm not that bad with it.
My language skills are good, I think.

I'm currently living in H.P. and I'd like to do my training in Chandigarh or preferably Shimla.
Any Suggestions Where I should go??
