MBA with Technology Management in Osmania University

hi guys,

i've got selected into Osmania University, Hyderabad, for an MBA in technology management.! Dint make it to the general MBA.! I just wanted to know if theres anyone in TD forum who has done their MBA with technology management as their specialisation.! And how different is it from the general MBA.! Can anyone shed some light on this.! I'd be thankful..

What do you mean by "General MBA"?

Well with technology management the minor specialisation has to be tech mgt.! its fixed.! In general MBA u get to choose both major and minor specialisation! For ex: It can be finance as major specialisation and marketing as your minor specialisation.!

As far as I know, if you take 2 specializations its known as "dual specialization". By general MBA, you mean that you are taking only 1 subject as a specilization.

And for your answer to your question, Osmania Uni is a good choice. Not the best, but good. I haven't heard much about techonology Mgt. as a specialization. But, you shouldn't be afraid to try on new things cos you never know that field might be in demand few years down the line but then again you can't take risk either. So why don't you just do some research on that subject. If it interests you, then go for it.

well here in this college, even the general MBA has dual specialisation.!

And thanks a lot for your suggestion! Even i was thinking on the same lines.! And the syllabus is all related to technology n stuff so im ready for it anyday.! I just cant find anythin interesting other than technology

Dont come to osmania...my coll comes under osmania affliation...its not worth it for B.E even at OU campus....donno abt MBA...if u r not bothered abt coll then go for it

Oh which coll u from? There are only a handful of colleges under the univ i think? And i dint find many complaining about OU engineering colleges.!

Well placements and the exposure seems decent enough in this college.! lets see.!
