I scored 88% in 12th class from CBSE(Science). scored AIR 44882 (gen. category) and now, i have to drop, because there is no govt. college for Comp. Sc.

i am sorry, but the answer is most probably no. I was in a similar position as you a few years back. got 53k in my 1st attempt, so dropped a yr.

whats ur state of eligibility?? did u go for counselling?? what did u get??

you have a chance in certain institutes which have state quota (very few remaining)... then say if ur from a small state like Kerala, etc u have chance of getting admission in good colleges, but still u may have to wait till the very last round of counsellling.....

in that case ur chances are very low, because rajasthan has much higher competition. all the best in any case.

You can get CS with mediocre college. But I daresay it's is highly frustrating to study in such institutes. I made that mistake.
If you can, better drop a year, and get top 5K rank next year.
