Artist - qualifications and suggestions on game development arena.??

one of my brother, studying in just 9th standard, is the unique ability to draw some extra-ordinary pictures with lot of creativity.. though he is studying only just 9th standard, what are the courses and qualifications and suggestions in game development area.
is there any specialized institute in game development arena in chennai..

Hmm standard 9th that's young start.... . NO knowledge of game development.
But if your brother is interested in 3D ANimation..i can help.
TO get into the Institution..you need at least completion of 12th.
And Opt for softwares like Adobe Photoshop CS4(2d art and now 3d painting(texturing)too.)
Then there's MAYA 2009(Taught here and ..best software for creating 3D Animation)
ZBrush (Character Sculpting software).
These softwares are needed in the industry now a days...so mastering these will definitely lead to a good future
