The phone should have the following. 1. Excellent voice clarity (Very Important) 2. WIFI (Very Important) 3. Large touch screen 4. Should be slim ( N-Series phones are bulky ) 4. GPS 5. Should be able to read Word/Excel files in case of non WM phones. 6. Huge phone book memory. Also recommend bluetooth hands free within the budget. And last request.. NO SAMSUNG PHONES.. He hates them.

Well G900 is extremely slim and the touchscreen is not bad.Check it out somewhere. It does not have a GPS chip but it tracks your presence using your cell EMEI, which it transmits to the sattelite and then receives your position within a range of 100 metres.

1) Wait for Xperia
or I would recommend these: HTC P3300. Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC phone with touchscreen, Wi-Fi and EDGE support, an integrated GPS receiver, microSD, 2mp cam. should cost around 17k-18k Sony Ericsson P1i. 16k-17k (no push email functionality) Sony Ericsson G900 20k superb 12hr talktime When it comes to corporate use, nothing beats Windows mobile. loads of 3rd party apps.

If he can live without GPS then G900.
If he can live without touchscreen then E71 or N82.

hmmm.. I can add a additional 5 K to the budget only if the mobile is really worth for the money.... if the touch diamond is slow .. then its out of the question.
xperia is out from my list. will not be pocket friendly.. Also my brother doesnt give respect to his mobile phone.. it has to be sturdy also

Seems like you're care for speed. E71 is fastest corporate oriented smartphone in that range.
And yes , touch diamond , though faster than most winmo ,is still slow . Also there are serious issue with battery life . |

If someone doesn't need the Xenon flash buts need a larger screen with a better keypad, N95 classic can still be considered. Plus now its price has dropped by 2k

G900, P1i, HTC 3300 are what I recommend. With HTC you get your WinMo 6.1 pro too.

802.11b is enough for mobile, also UIQ 4.0 could release any time soon and P1i will get a free update.
still i find E71 the best but it doesn't have touch support.

I have bought the ASUS P750 Win Mo 6.1 Phone for Rs.20250 /- Including all taxes. I bought it from primary ASUS dealer in bangalore. Unfortunately I have not opened the box cause its a birthday gift for my brother
The dealer gave me a standby phone for sometime to explore before I bought it. Features are really good and I got more than I asked for. Wifi: 802.11 b/g 3G: HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps ( Future proof TFT touchscreen, 65K colors ( No problem with 65K ) Business Card Recognition Pocket Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF viewer GPS receiver Location Courier - GPS Related , this sends GPS locations as a SMS to any predefined number from time to time and that can be used to track the exact position of the mobile in another mobile. Google maps can use this data and plot point it in maps Travel log(or something with that name) - This application can store the location's of you travel path as and when you move from one place to another and then plot it back on the map Free Maps for abt 35+ cities in India. Free 1GB MicroDS Card ( The maps are installed in it) The phone which I was checking out even had a bloody remote desktop I dont know if it was pre-installed or not. My dealer said that the pack includes a phone holder for the car and also a free Car charger Please bear with me for the full review of the phone, it aint gonna happen atleast till 2 weeks. Yes I bought it 2 weeks in advance EDIT: Please recomend me a BlueTooth headset . It should be very slim and less than 2K. my dealer said not to use a bluetooth headset cause he was getting pain in his ears after long use
