Default Nokia N82 3G problem
The N82 has 3G but it supports only the 2100Mhz band(European)

And it does not support other bands like 850,1900 etc. For example the N82 3G doesn't work in US but it works in Europe.

I have read that 3G will be launched in India by the end of 2008.

Does anyone know what will be the band used by India for 3G services ?

I use Edge for browsing etc , so i will definitely prefer 3G for its faster speed and other added services.

I am planning to buy N82 but if doesn't support Indian 3G then i will be stuck with Edge.

So you guys have any clues

It should be 2.1Ghz to 2.4Ghz.

india will follow the UK spectrum..that is 2100 Mhz..dont worry..it will work in India...

yup India will provide 3G in the 2.1GHz spectrum.read it in a newspaper.

aare yaar..its not yet confirmed..and if you have some common sense, you will know that India always carries the norm set by the UK..it will be the 2.1 Ghz spectrum..and you wont find many phones which are quadband..except the K850...
