Digital Camera @ Rs.12K? Suggestions needed.

I am on a hunt for a digital camera.
I plan to use it for outdoor photography & some indoors as well. I have a great passion for photography.Should have a minimum 7 MP.
It should have good optical zoom preferably above 3x & also other features like optical image stabilization,face recognition are welcome.
I would most prefer canon but you are free to suggest others as well.
My budget is Rs.10~12K.

I will be asking one of my relatives to bring me the cam from abroad,so please be quick in your reply.
I can wait only till 10:30, tomorrow morning.

Sony W120. I just bought it two weeks ago. Its awesome. Has all the features that you'd want. 7mpix sensor, face detection, smile capture (the camera automatically takes a picture when the subject smiles), image stabilizer, 4x optical zoom, orientation sensor (hold the camera vertically and the image is saved in portrait mode) and many more. I'll post a review when my exams get over. It costs 12.8k. Its awesome. Go get it!

+1 for canon A720..brilliant..it cant get better at this price

Go for Canon A series (It's better than the SD series as u have manual control if u want to play around). Plus you don't have to pay extra money for the small & compact form factor of SD series. I would suggest A720IS. I m planning to get it too...
