Suggest a mobile phone - For making calls !!!

Yes, I meant that, making calls

All the time while buying mobile phones, making calls was the last thing for me. I use my mobile for GPRS / EDGE / Camera.

Now I need a phone (5K is enough I think) for my wife. Exclusively for making / receiving calls. Even GPRS is not needed. Need some model that is of good build quality, reliable, then good looks too. Will I get a clam shell (or whetever it is called, you got what I meant rt ? lol) for 5K ?

Please suggest.

No, I have a Excel Anant Sim. So need a phone anyway (I mean can't go for CDMA) .

Among Nokia 1100 and SE J200i which will be better ? Or as both are basic models, nothing much difference ?

If you want a clamshell phone under 5k, then i'll suggest Nokia 6060. My sister has it and its quiet good. Its a simple phone for calls and messages and looks good too. It costs around 4k.

a moto w205 or nokia 1112 should be enough for the requirements u'v mentioned. both are available for abt 1.6k. why spend 5k for a phone which is used for jus making calls and nothing else?

if u wanna go in for a clamshell u may consider samsung x160 or moto w220. both available for abt 2.6k.

5k is too big a budget 4 a only calls fone.. I wd suggest a 1112 or a 6030.. Or a se j200i Easy to use ..IMO dont go 4 moto fones..

Anyway I have SE K 550i, so all other needs, I can use that.

N1112--1.8K which is monochrome....

N1600--> 1950 which is a colour mobile...

Yes. 1600 is the unanimous choice. I've had it as the secondary phone for over a year. It simply rox..

^^^ completely my personel opinion but, the screen build of 1112 seems better than 1600.

W220 is better than 1600.

yeah the only thing they've changed in 1600 is the screen - colour. otherwise everything is same. to keep the costs low, imo they've put in a very low quality screen. i'd prefer 1112 anyday to n1600.

Hmm, no, not 1600. Didn't like it at all.

6030 ? No, never, build quality is very poor.

My Dad use N1112, so far no problems, mostly will go for that itself.
