don't know about relience, but for 5k, I prefer U go for SE T290 or widen your budget about Rs 1000 more to get the J200i
-

^ dont know why u talk abt SE only.
J 200i costs 5k
T230 costs rs. 4k
Both are cr@p.
Nokia 2600 costs 4.5k
Nokia 3100 costs 5k
3120 cost around 5.5 k
Samsung c100 rs. 4.5k
X100 rs 5k
LG G1600 rs. 4.5k
samsung and lg offers 65k colors when compared to 4k of nokia and SE.
So go for sms or Se in case u need colors and good display or go for nokia 3120 or 3100 or 2600 if u need a good performance phone.I Love Photography. I Love Aperture. I Love Mac.

HMm X100 works out to be the one for you!
X100
* 65 k colors
* irda
* mms
* bigger display than other phones
* Reginal menus (tamil, marathi, hindi )
J200i has only irda, and also a good speaker. and X100 as well as j200i costs around 5k.

SE T630 got the best cam in 8K catagory, but for 11k (Lucknow) U can get a K500I with 12 MB memory compared to 2 MB in T630
For other brands, well, I don't think there is any in 8K to match SE quality, maybe the X600

For <5000 : J200i
For <8000: T630
The above advice is feature-based.. But performance-wise, shell out few more bucks and go 4 Nokia..
<8000: 7250i,6610i

yeah dude there's an LG camera phone which reliance is giving for like 6800 bucks...gota say...impressed with the camera and the loudness of the ringtones.
But if ure looking for GSM....the best phone under 5k will be SonyEricsson J200i (Rs.4900, New Delhi)...why u ask?
coz it has GPRS,MMS,Infrared port which actually works like the better SonyEricsson Models, Loud Speaker for ringtones,MUCH better looking than the Nokia's. The Samsungs and LG's are all crappy coz dey have a very irritating user interfrace...
and for around 8000 you can get Nokia 6610i and 7250i for about Rs.8200(new delhi).
T610 is another option but the memory is like 2 mb ,whereas the nokia's are offering 4 mb.
Samsung X600 is another option...has the best camera in its range...but a very irritating phone again...u cant record voices, the ringtones are not loug enough, no vibration and ringtone at the same time....so its really bugging...
I suggest the Nokia 6610i if you are goin till 8k and The J200i if ure planning on stayin till 5k.

which one among these 4 cellphones??
hey ppl suggest me a phone under 5k. i plan to buy a not-so-high end gprs phone. i want it to connect to my computer to suft the net via airtel mobile office gprs service apart from the normal usage.
i haf set my eyes on samsung x100, se t230, se t290 and se j200i.......
which phone do u recommand most? i like the 65k screen of the x100 plus 9mb of memory wich the sony ericssons lack.....j200i has 640kb mem, dunno abt t230 n t290. x100 also has java n mms, rite? wot do u ppl say??? which one do u ppl vote for? and how has been the satisfaction of you customers regarding the 4 phones mentioned above??"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."

yeah X100 would be the best option...but again...irritating samsung UI. The D*** phone does not ring and vibrate at the same time...except in its own ringtones and the specials one's dat u can download...the screen is almost the same but ugly phone man...J200i is the best since you jus wana use it for GPRS and normal usage. Plus the infra-red on the J200i works awesome soz u can transfer stuff from and to ure comp. .Don't be fascinated with the 9 Mb memory...ule wanna throw that phone away after a month...i used Samsung X600 for 2 months and then got so irritated that i shifted BACK to the SonyEricsson T610.
N e how if u like the samsung interfrace....then jump towards the X100, otherwise choose SonyEricsson J200iPrize Winning SonyEricsson K500i Review <http://www.gsmarena.com/r_sony_erics...00_review.php3 >

Now since that Sony has launched the J300i, i say hold on for a while about 1 month & then buy this one, 12 Memory, no cam, good stereo speakers
Still if u can spend a bit more money then buy the K500i, stay away from K300i

ok here are the answers to ure questions (@ infra_red_dude)
1) Yes J200i Supports USB data cable interfrace...but it sux coz i dun think u can transfer games n stuff...its better if u buy an INFRA RED PORT (LOL)
2)J200i supports midi and maybe .amr ringtones too
3)it should support .amr recordings coz the older ones (t230) sure did...
4)JPEG and GIF for sure...not sure bout WMBP
5)It supports GPRS class 8....

3.6k for J200i? Seriously? man daz cheap...i got a T230 last yr for like 7k!!!!
and j300i has just been announced...so it means its gonna take bout a month or two to get here...good phone though...SonyEricsson's Raisin the bar again....WOOO!!!

see when i had my SonyEricsson T610, I couldnt transfer any games to my mobile phone, i could only transfer ringtones and wallpapers through the PC Suite. But then there's this software...which i dont think exsists now which can transfer games to the phone...i found it at one of em underground sites...soz only buy a data cable if you can find a software like that...otherwise go for an 'Infra-red' port....
yeah i kno the K750 and Z800 will be totally out of ure league...but dere's no harm in chekin em out rite? maybe in a month or two ile have one of em

hey ppl i got d SE j200i a few days back...some pros n cons of d phone which i think will help others decide:
pros:
1) bigger, better, brighter and crisper screen than any other phone in this category, screen clarity is better than any nokia 4k color screen phone
2) good voice clarity
3) good signal reception
4) great design, prob the best looking phone in this category
5) loud speaker
6) good production of bass instruments
7) flawless connectivity with computer thru infra red
8 ) good screen layout
9) supports MID, WBMP, GIF and JPEG files
cons:
1) average battery life
2) bit sluggish interface
3) no mms support
4) no amr recording/playing support
5) no send to many (on spot) option (though you can send to pre-defined groups)
6) no java support
overall a pretty decent phone available for that price. am satisfied."The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."
