I need just a low cost dual band basic mob. Must have polyphonic ringtones and GPRS. thats it!

Edit: Are there low cost mobs that support mp3 ringtones? I mean below 3000 range.

Go for Motorola C168 for 2.5k.

1) Nokia 6030 Rs. 3.5k
2) Nokia 6020 Rs. 4.5k
3) Sony Ericsson K320i Rs.5.5k (no gprs)
4) Sony Ericsson Z300i Rs. 3.5 with gprs
5) Motorola L6 Rs. 5.5k (bluetooth, vga cam, gprs, mini usb, extremely slim) <- my phone
6) Motorola C261 for 3.5k

I recommend motorola L6

those are still a bit high priced. I need mobs for less than 2.5-3K.

hmmm 4 3k u shd get a nokia 2310...

If you want a Sony Ericsson mobile at 3k, look no further than J230i. (Actually if you'd mentioned your budget earlier, i'd suggested this phone instead of C168 )

go 4 an nok6030. i am using it for 2.5 yrs now. no probs... but remember one thing.... if u want to use ur phone for gprs use nokia only and nokia use nokia 6030....

for under 3k, 6030 is the best. But I would suggest you to stretch the budget to 4k and get L2. L2's bigger screen is a definite adv. when compared to 6030.

also if u buy gprs phone, just check if the phone has a built in modem. it'll come handy when u wanna connect to ur pc and surf.
