PROBLEM in Nokia 6260

i am using nokia 6260 coffee black colour phone for the last 6 months.
the problem is that whenever i switch on my phone it displays "2 messages received" but when i click on the open option there are no messages actually.
it happens everytime i switch on my mobile phone.
what can the problem be???

i am not sure but being a s60 fone there is a chance that if u installed an application to hide sms such as mum sms .... it might b on .... which does not show the msgs

delete all msg related apps...... and hav u tried msvdrive on 6260..?????

while bootin make sure ur mmc is kept out
if u receive msgs select exit
insert ur mmc
wait a few seconds
go to inbox and if u see the sms delete them if u dont then recollect the apps u had previously installed on the fone
and if urs is a 2nd hand 1 then best option is to restore factory settings and not reset

.... i remember i too faced the same problem when i installed mum sms .... hence i thought u too must hv doen something similar
