If U want only phone+FM then go for Nokia 6030,it is a good phone and economical too.If u feel like having camera also, then N6610i is a better phone.

It's quite good but u might think of sheelling out a few thousand more and buy a higher end phone though this phone works for most

But u wouldnt want to think after a few months that for 2-3 thousand i cud have lots of features ANOTHER THIONG THE CAM TAKES ONLY PICS NO VIDEOS

If you want the decent economical phone with a good camera then stretch your budget a little bit and go for Nokia 6020!

Yeah, 6610i is old. But it's only 6500 or less. Add some 15-20% more and get 6020/6030.

It's a very good phone, with no problems but for the IRDa compactibility issue. See the below portion for more...

Infra red (IR):
The phone IR option for communcation between the phone and pc and another phone. We can do a host of things like trasferring files to sending business cards. W need to have a IR dongle for the same. And there may be some line of sight(LOS) issues with IR and the line between the phone's IR port and the IR reciever should be in the same line.
The above has been taken from one of my reviews posted here.

IRDa in 6610i:
It got a IR and can be used to "wireless communication between phone and a compatible PC and other compatible infrared devices" according to nokia but it has limited IR functionalities. We can only transfer business cards via IR. This was the case in the 6610 also.

If you need the infrared functionality 6610i is pretty much useless. I had 6610 in the past it cud only send and receive business card, memos and reminders but you could transfer images and tones from your computer using PC suite. But, if you are keen on infrared you'd rather skip this one. Even 3200 introduced before this was better in infrared.

The 6610i is really an old phone...and the infrared would be pretty useless i guess coz the PC suite gave me lots of probs..not like Sony Ericsson phones ..where we can tranfsre files directly
Also..the camera is of very poor quality..only .3 megapixed i guess(not sure abt it tho)
Sicne u might have already bought it by now..i dont think i have to go into other drawbacks

6610i was one of the best selling phones ... but its a old now ...
it has a very bad built quality <Its panel is not properly fixed>
My friend only came to know after he bought it
..And I have made many rounds with him to the 3 nokia service centres in Delhi ..
no use ..
Also .. 6610i IrDa is just for writting in the features column ..
practically .. it has no use as drgrudge has mentioned above

other options are:
6021, 6030, 3220, 6020,
Moto E398, SE K508i, SE K300i
