Samsung Galaxy SIII or Sony XPERIA ion?

Guys, help me in choosing phone. As i was a fan of Sony Ericsson till date, i was thinking of buying XPERIA ion. What would you guys prefer? Sony Ericsson Camera phones were great. I like them coz of the camera, sound, design and UI. Samsung Galaxy SIII camera was great too. Any idea about XPERIA ion and Galaxy SIII? Thanks in advance.

S3 anyday. Ion should be priced around 30-32k not 36k+

+1 to sams advice..s3 and ion cost almost the same..if what interestes u is the ion's cam let me tell u that megapixels dont matter..the s3 supposedly produces better images than ion...and a dual core phone today is not flagship material anyway and should be priced at 32k max.

I, being a Sony fanboy myself just cannot recommend you the Ion at 36k. Simply not worth it at that price !!

Go for One X or GS3. If you want Sony and better camera than S3 and One X, save money and get the Xperia S. And even though S and Ion have the same module, S seems to have significantly better quality according to some sites. The screen on both the S and Ion blow away the Gs3 and One X screens though (provided its only you watching).

Though if you really want the Ion, wait for a month or two. It should settle at 29-30k by then.

just a day back I checked review of Ion from phonearena and it did not looked good. Damn even I am looking for good phone from a long time.. sony, samsung release good phones soon.. now it has been more then two months waiting..

most draw back I see in ion is it's battery and s3 chipset ..

hope sony gx or say Hayabusa will be good to buy next month and what I know samsung does not have any new phones to release other then note 2 (again not for me .. too big)

Is the Xperia Ion selling with a Snapdragon S4 Krait or the older S3? I heard there was a shortage of S4, thats why the HTC One S was also launched with the older S3 processor. If the Ion is launched with a S4 then it will match up in some respects to the Galaxy S3, otherwise it seems to be a fairly pointless device at 36k...consumers will not pay more than 1-2k for a phone that essentially is a sturdier version of the Xperia S which is selling for 27-29k

Xperia Ion has that same old S3 processor. Nothing new but more big price tag, only a hardcore sony fanboy would get this overpriced phone.
And yea HTC India launced HTC ONE S C2 not the original HTC ONE S with krait S4.
Xperia S is available for 26k with sony warranty by using bank coupon.

it is the snapdragon s3...not worth the price,AT ALL!!
it is just an xperia s with a bigger screen,better build.
the galaxy s3 is worth every penny.

4g, big screen so big battery, better camera than 4s, NFC may be. So budget buyer keep away.

@OP: One X or S3 ftw. Sony is good @ design but ion doesn't IMO.

Looking at the HTC One X specs, the only thing i find interesting is the processor and no extendable memory so i don't think this suits me

ummmm they are expected to launch by Sony on August 29 ...so in my opinion it wont take that long to come to India

^^ well actually that is confusing even I read all news about it.. AFAIK technically they must be announcing it on august 29 but all sites say it is launching Date..
