Sorry buddy, but having a good touchscreen smartphone for ~10k is difficult for now.
I had my HTC Gene (Windows Mobile) for around that price. And it has been serving me quite well, but you may not be me. Nevertheless WiMo opens up a lot of opprtunities and there are some really good apps. Plus, WiMo is great for managing your digital life. But this low-end-model might not be really impressive in entertainment department though. If you want to have a phone complying to today's norms, either drop the 'smartphone' or drop the 'touchscreen' part. HTC Gene, Touch aint that bad, try'em out.

touchscreen dumbfones (ok , non smartfones)
- lg cookie ( shud be 11k approx) - samsung star (definately 10k in 3 months) - samsung start 3g (doubtful to come down to 10k) touchscreen smartfones - p3400 (wimo , really old ... tis 9k right now) maybe some more htc fones ... all wimo ... not worth non touch smartfones - nokia 5320 ( its 9.9k now) -samsung i450 - nokia 5630 (if u are lucky ... but it unlikely .. it'll still cost 12k atleast after 3mnths)

SORRY sorry sorry
I will never demand a smartphone in that touch segment . I already own Sony K550i & Nokia 7610 & they are serving me well considering Games & apps so leave samrtphone . What actually is problem is that my thumb hurts when i use this mobiles extensively & i can't even use them for normal purposes like calling etc or writing sms that's why i required a touchscreen . My new but decreased requirement for a touchphone are Decent sound for occasional music intrest If possible fullscreen video out ,any format works for me only for occasional viewing If possible it should have flash with the camera ,though i tend to click only in daylight if & if only possible can it have good music and filemanagemnt such that the songs can be browsed through album art Can some of the avaliable models summarise these features ?

My friend bought LG Cookie few days back for 9.7k
Though it does have auto rotating screen and shake but somehow did not look appealing to me. Volume is great so is the screen. But it catches finger prints and you'll be left wiping it to keep it as good looking as it looks on websites. I would not have bought it having used Motorokr E6 previously.

Btw , using touchscreen is more pain than normal phones. Eerything requires more movement of fingers in every work , so if you get your thumb soared easily , think again before jumping touchscreen . |

coming to touchphone , actually i had read in a health magazine that it is better to shift to touchphone for better comfort . From above discussion ,i think the information is turning as a hoax between samsung star & LG cookie which is good & why ?

Samsung star. Better battery , better music ,slightly better camera , better looks , better music quality , slightly faster edge . But most important and big enough reason , its not lg .
Cookie has better interface though. |

^^ True. Asus P320 is laggy. But there is no other touchscreen smartphone available less than 10k. Only other phone is the HTC P3400. But its even worse than the P320

Winmo is not bad . Atleast when you couple with a 35k hardware it becomes almost usable.
Btw , there are similar threads running in te. People are giving good reviews about samsung . Seems like battery life is quite good. |
