broadband bandwidth monitor

i need to know which is best broadband bandwidth monitor program for dataone. i have used but bitmeter and netmeter both but i found bitmeter is a memory consuming app where as netmeter doesnt provide ISP restriction. I also want to know where can i find source code for these type of application so that i can develop one for my own specification and also distribute to other who need such program. Please tell me if u know a good bandwidth monitor program and send me link to download
