Default Bike maintanence in winter ?

I own a Fiero bike which is almost 7 years old. Now it is giving lots of starting problems. Also sometimes the ignition goes off in the middle while travelling. So I keep the bike in idle for some time after starting the engine and then race off.
Any other suggestions?

Also how much does a odometer cable costs?

Default Re: Bike maintanence in winter ?

the engine needs to be at a perticular temp to start right.
When you start the bike for the first time always kick start(you might not have the other option), and let the engine get warm before you rev the engine. Rev slowly not fast.
