You can use RightMark Audio Benchmark tool for testing Soundcards.

Here's my RightMark AA report
Realtek ALC850 Audio on ASUS K8N - Testing chain: External loopback (line-out - line-in) Sampling mode: 16-bit, 48 kHz Summary Frequency response (from 40 Hz to 15 kHz), dB: +0.21, -1.21 Average Noise level, dB (A): -78.4 Average Dynamic range, dB (A): 77.5 Average THD, %: 0.057 Average IMD, %: 0.071 Good Stereo crosstalk, dB: -78.5 Very good IMD at 10 kHz, %: 0.111 Average General performance: Average Here's how I tested - Select option "adjust playback recording levels" Connect Line out to Line in with a stereo cable. Hit button "run tests in loopback mode" Save results to html. Any more volunteers. It'll be good to see how different onboard audio codecs and high end soundcards compare. PS EDIT : Compare my result with Creamware Scope DP soundcard http://audio.rightmark.org/test/creamware/scope44.htm Cheers, Keith
