Help needed please.........

:( I have a problem in my system.....firstly i had a asrock motherboard with
intel chipset....It was working fine.....I brought a new intel 865GF motherboard and replaced the old one..I replaced the old 15' monitor with new LG 17' monitor....
Now my problem is.......After formatting the c: drive and when i try to install either the win98se or win xp.... the system hangs indefinetly...
i tried several times.....nothing could be done.....Please help me in this matter....

check the connections properly
reconnect all the peripherels

use xp installation to format the hard drive to ntfs(you can use 98 also)
