i am using amd athlon dual core 2.5 ghz with asus m2npv-vm motherboard
socket - am2.
i have installed windows xp sp2 on my computer but hibernate & system restore options are not appearing in windows.
is my hardware not compatible or it is windows problem.
Install Graphics(Video) drivers and reboot the system.You should see all the options now..:)

You have to enable it from power options in control panel or press shift on standy button.

that is what i have mentioned that these options are not coming under power option.

Then either u have not installed Chipset drivers or Your motherboard doesn't support Hibernation. :|

from devicemanager findout if ur graphics driver is properly supported or not?
from there itself u can update or find out the right graphics driver for ur system.
or visit asus website for finding out correct driver.
it is most probably graphicsdriver problem
