Stuck in UBUNTU!Help!!

I booted from ubuntu 7.10 live dvd(digit dec.2007) and installed it.When it became 100% and i hit restart,after sys check by bios,it said"frequency not supported,try other resolutions.."how can i change my frequency..please help..
