Firefox hanging...... :?:

HI,
I'm facing a weired problem with Firefox.
Its getting stuck while scrolling, on opening Rapidshare, a few forums, I'm totally clueless. When it hangs I checked Taskmanager if any other processes are running, but found nothinbg nothing suspicious. Did a anitivirus scan with KIS, Adware..........

P.S.: I've a few(at abt 30 extensions installed) can that be a problem? But PReviously It never did.

Help me, I'm forced to work on IE which I don't like at all:(

Disable all extension or and theme by starting ff in safe mode(program list).
Then run it.
if it works fine, then uninstall all unnecessary extension and theme.

WHOA, 30 extensions! What do you intend to do with all those extenstions running with your Firefox ? Disable them and restart firefox in safe mode.

Then switch to Opera 9.51 (Soon 9.52 will release), it is indeed a good browser to work with. ;)

This problem is not due to firefox or its extension,its caused by kis, are u using kis 2009?
To solve the problem either uninstall kis and use kis ver7 or try this hack given here (http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008/06/29/fix-firefox-3-crashing-problem-caused-by-kaspersky-2009-products/)

same kinda weird prob here 2...i hv firefox 3.0 n for d first time in my usage it crashed twice in just 5 mins

Try clearing your private data(cache/history/cookies)

and another vote for Opera :) . atleast don't use exploder :yikes:

I installed FF3 and believe me or not it was a pain in d ass for me.............
Digit forum controls didn't work, flash contents were not shown properly.........
then crashing also..............

I then downgraded to FF2 again:cool:

I don't have KIS2009..........mine is 7................

Today morning I did a reinstall of FF2.............deleted all traces of previous installation........cache,registry entries..etc.........till now it has not crashed..........but sometime, while scrolling it gets stuck then aftr a few sec it loosens:confused:........

^Uninstall kis 7 then install ff3,many r facing the same problem with kav7 n 2009 causing ff to crash.

Its probably Kaspersky. Unistall it and use another one OR use Opera or Safari browser.
