Tomcat not starting

I installed netbeans 6.Apache tomcat 6.0.14 was bundled with it.Now whenever I try to start tomcat,I get an error:
The specified service does not exist as an installed service.Unable to open 'tomcat6'.

Plz tell me how to get this working.
