Have you wondered why your Sony burner blinks green while Liteon blinks both green and red? Even though both are essentially the same - Sony's are just rebadged Liteons, Ex: Sony DRU 710A is Liteon SOHW 1633S.
Get the latest Sony firmware here with led fix. Also try crossflashing Liteon to Sony or vice versa.
Download Omnipatcher to modify firmware before flashing. Mods include read speed increase, write strategy modification etc.
Currently I'm using "BYX4 - patched - cf - ledfix" version on my DRU 710A which originally shipped with BY02 firmware.
