Go to the manufacturer's website and search for the mobo model and usually the update bios is self-executable, might be done through a floppy.

Download the ASUSUpdate software from this page: http://support.asus.com/download/download_item.aspx?product=1&model=P5LD2-VM
You will get it in the Utilities section. Install it and run it. It will give you an option of 'Update BIOS from the Internet' from a dropdown list. You can also get the information regarding your current BIOS.
BTW, I checked the site for an update to the BIOS for your m/b model, and the latest update was on 14/08/2007. So in case you've bought the motherboard recently, you may already have the latest BIOS on it.
PS: I've used the utility to update the BIOS on my P5K-VM m/b and it worked fine.

Since your id is in green, i am guessing you are a mod.Being a mod how can you recommend online BIOS flashing ? It is one of the most risky methods that can be used.Atleast for a layman.
The best method is to flash the bios in DOS mode.
1) Make a Dos bootable disk
2) dload the latest bios from website
3) dload the BIOS flashing tool for that mobo (usually bundled with bios)
4) dump the tool and bios file on the bootable disk and flash the bios from DOS.
complete instructions are given on manufacturer's website.
