dvd reading problem

my sony company dvd writer does not detect dvd's,which are burnt of dvd drive of LG company,can anybody tell me why so?

the DVDs burnt would not have been burnt properly. what are the models of the burner we are talking here.
Do firmware upgrade for your burner.
And what burning software are you using.
