PC Upgradation

i would like to upgrade my PC..

present configuration:
MotherBoard: ASUS A7N266-VM (http://www.motherboard.cz/mb/asus/A7N266-VM.htm)
RAM: 2 x DDR 128 333 MHz
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1600+

i would like to upgrade MotherBoard as well as RAM but, i find new motherboards arent supporting Socket A AMD..

can somebody tell me best available option for upgradation considering my budget being low and that i require PC for serious programming + gaming..

i can upgrade my processor as well if it fits into my budget..

What is your budget? You will need to replace your motherboard, Ram and processor.

The best thing you can get for 4k-5k is an AGP graphics card.

1) 7300GT
2) Gecube X1600PRO (ati chipset)

nvm i would wait for sometime before i upgrade..

but, can you tell me what should be estimated cost for upgradation considering i would have to upgrade my process [to get AM2 slot compatible processor] as well..

for a decent gaming config, you need 12k

for 3D modelling, you need Quadro series cards and they will blow a real big hole in your pocket.
