Yes, there are from time to time (on Indian website). These systems are called n-Series and show up only in Dell catalog. You can to go to product page of each notebook to see if there is a n-series model available (which has FREE DOS). Currently, the laptop which has that option is Vostro 1400.

You can customize depending on your budget. You can't go wrong here as this will be the cheapest Dell laptop (and good VFM too).

Whenever I'm looking to buy a laptop, I wait a couple of weeks to ensure there's a n-series system :)

Too bad, no Inspiron laptops are currently available with FREE DOS.

Ask for Dell N series. They come without an OS and are really cheap.

@ Sourabh :::: Thanks a lot .

I wanted a 13" or lower screen and it's not available anywhere without M$ . Currently Dell does not have a N series 13" . Would keep looking for it . Thanx for the info .
