i have decided on buying a external hdd as my 40 gb internal disk is of no use nowadays with so many movies to dow..er buy.;-)

first i thought of buying 2.5" ones but found 500 gb ones to be too expensive. so have decided to buy 3.5" ones i scoured lamington and found price in range of 4200-4800 rs.

now first of tell me if i will have any particular problems with 3.5" ones i plan to caryy it in local once a month apart frm that it will eb at home only.

and if 3.5" ones are ok for my use then suggest a product with price and any other useful info u might have.
thx.

Western Digital My Book Home Edition is good -- But has only 3 years warranty. Seagate on the other hand has 5 years. (go for home edition only if you have esata, else its useless -- essential edition is sufficent.)

500GB 3.5" editions are not for carrying around too much.they dont have additional protection like the portable editions.
