HELP!! Windows Genuine Advantage problems!!

I have been using XP for the last 5 years. Recently I got problems with this Windows Genuine Validation which keeps saying that my copy is not genuine. I am well aware that my copy is not genuine. Will this cause any problem in the future other than the 5 second wait thing?? Also, is their any way to crack or bypass it?? I am using Windows XP Professional SP2. I want to upgrade to SP3 but have heard that it has similar Genuine Advantage problems!!
