I have some queries abt nero :D

1.What is simulation mode in nero for wat purpose it is used...???
2.To Burn a Blank DVD what r the recommended settings...in compilation properties ?
3.Cant we burn a single file larger than 3GB in ISO mode ? If yes, then y?
4.What will happen if i check two options "write" & "determine maximum speed" ?
5.Is Latest Nero 8 requires more RAM as compared 2 previous versions ?
6.What points i have 2 remember while burning a DVD so dat my finally burned data is 100% ok

1. read the help file, will you? its there for a reason. simulation checks if data can freely flow from the hard disk to the writer and if all commands sent to the writer are working correctly

2. just choose the correct speed, or let it determine itself. you dont need to do anything else.

3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_9660

4. write - write the disc(duh!!!) determine maximum speed - exactly what it says. first it determines maximum writing speed, and then writes at that speed.

5. Dunno... this takes 50MB on my comp. But you need directx 9.0c compulsary for this version. stupid UI...

6. duh... check that verify data after burning box...

Since the OP named the thread All about Nero, I hope he does not mind my question here:

I got Nero 7 Essentials with my DVD writer. I heard a corrosponding Linux® version also exists. Can I know what is it called ? Do I also get a license for it if I get the windows license? Is there any way I can obtain it ?

@metalheadgautam -

Nero Linux 3 (http://www.nero.com/eng/linux3.html)

You can purachase it online.

But I would recommend you try K3B (http://sourceforge.net/projects/k3b/) which is even better than Nero for Linux & is also free.

@karanth85 - See I helped him :rolleyes: :p :rolleyes:
