buy any of the ethernet card like D-Link or intex or netgear coming in Rs 300, will actually seem to give you similar performance, but if you are buying wireless card then it can be different.

Also your primary use. If it's just for broadband then regular card as suggested above. If it is for specialised applications like high speed networks or cluster computing then a gigabit ethernet card and a gigabit switch

Intex one fails frequently. Ive replaced mine almost 5 times in one year. Im goin for a better one like D-Link.

yup intex of lower quality than D-Link, but your reporting of the issue is too much, 5 times in a year man, really serious heehe, my firends used it for so long when I was studying, and in high use LAN but no issues.

But yes D-Link is a little better and a little costlier(better because its D-Link product) than intex

each time it was replaced with a new one. My first, nd thrrd was dead. All others had BSOD problem, when lan activity was above a certain level. If normal browsing, then no probs. If i dl somethin or transfer file/MP game, then BSOD appers on ny of the system saying 'NDIS.sys" acting illegally. Its the net send error detecting file. No probs if i use onboard lan. But i need to use lan nd net simultaneously[on my 3 systems].
