Google desktop search - unlinked pst files

Hi,

Google desktop search is an excellent tool to search all our outlook mail. I have many pst files which I don't need to have it opened in outlook always. So the pst would be present but not linked. Does Google desktop search covers that too? Because when I search I need that coverage.
