I have bought an MSI P7N Platinum motherboard, enroute, not delivered yet. In the time being I downloaded the manual for the site. Reading it, I have a few urgent queries:-
1) The manual mentions that the mobo has 3 PCI Express * 16 Slots -- 1 PCI Express * 16 & 2 PCI Express * 8. It says that if putting in two cards in SLI, they have to be put in the PCI Express * 8 slots. Is is the same with other motherboards also? Or do other mobos have 2 PCI Express * 16 slots?
2) The mobo also has two SATA ports. I need to put in four hard disks. Can I put in two HDDs in one port like IDE in master and slave?
