hey guys....i hv bsnl broadband connection.....n i hv PRONET PN-ADSL 101E/U ADSL 2+ Router....here is the link (http://www.pronetnetworks.com/adsl.html). But m suffering from net disconnection problem....every time when i download sumthin occasionally net gets disconnected...what should i do....even i hv new branded lan card...bt i think there is a problem in my adsl external router...so my frndz suggested me dat purchase new one.....i searched on net for dat.....n i think NETGEAR (http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/WiredRouters/DG834.aspx)'s ADSL router is gud.....so plz guide me.....should i go for it....or is there ny other problem which causing net disconnection??

i think maybe the problems on the part of Bsnl
contact their Customer Care
and for modem part
a utStarcom 400R2U would be enuf

yup first check with the customer care.
Secondly reset your router to factory settings and reconfigure the router. How to do that is little tough in just telling.
you need to check the small whole (I will need to give you exactly how it looks) at the bottom, using a paper pin you can push in to reset it.

<bhushan05d251> as i noticed that you facing problem with your further disconnection, there is no problem from your side i am sure there should me nose in your phone line or earthing in phone line excess. i am too using MTNL Triband connection no disconnections : ) getting 2mbps down : ) check there is no cuts in wire main line there should be no parallel connection, call bsnl CC. Regading router go for linksys N Technology (MIMO)

mostly that is because of the telco line quality, or may be distance from the exchange or may be because of modem..need to verify with the details of dsl/modem connection http://forum.mazzako.com/index.php?topic=14749.0 however small topic would be helpful...good luck....
