Latest: I completed Gears Of War in 3.5 days @ Hardcore difficulty.
Same for Cod 4,Crysis,Assassins Creed.

Well as for their hype they aren't doing justice to the space they occupy.

Since my exams are over,I have few days for gaming.

Could you suggest some good games which last for a while. (All genres welcomed)

Didja try Ninja Gaiden Black, Bioshock, Devil May Cry 3, Metal Gear Solid 3, NightShade, SoulCalibur, Commandos series (not Destination Berlin)..
Some r PS2 games... but can b played on PC as u can guess.

I would suggest u play online... as human players have far more Arguable/Agreeable Intelligence than any bot :D

Mayb that tourney goin on for Indian gamers....

Also.... most of these games (even those u played) have tough/er/est modes... try them to spend time :D

^^Master Chief is zilch compare to arbiter.
And duh it was so repetitive, again the library type level, floods were intolerable.
Lame level design, lame enemies.

Only thing that rocked was Arbiter part and the story, cinematic scenes. The mighty sword was enuf to pawn others in one swipe, teh best weapon IMO.

Probably u didn't play Halo 1:rolleyes: It was the fresh experience and cool.

I am surprised you havent played(or mentioned) FEAR, and the two expansion packs for the same.........for me FEAR turned out to be the best FPS experience. My other best game definately goes to Max Payne 1. MP 2 was ok. What about Quake 4.....I enjoyed Q4 a lot specially after the let down of DOOM 3 which was just ok for me. The last chapter on q4 was awsome, fearsome battle and fight sequences.........
I agree games are a lot shotter these days but I guess that works for me as I dont have oodles of time to spare and games being my top passion....... I some how have to manage to take out time for it, so I like games that end sooner so that I can move to the next one quickly. Anyhow with loads of games coming every quarter, I rather quickly shift to different games than keep on playing the same one.
Another game Rainbow six vegas was pretty cool. Recently completed that. Vegas 2 was a letdown. U can try Splinter Cell series if you already have not played. Recent addations.....Chaos Theroy and Double Agent seems to be pretty good (I havent played them yet.) Though you dont like racing games but GRID and NFS : MW are noticibally worth mentioning.
Lastly the two games I am dying to get hold on are Farcry 2 and Project Origin (FEAR 2). Both releasing in OCT 2008......man I am eagerly waiting for these.


PS ::: I forgot to mention Stranglehold Typical John Woo style Max Payne, very entertaining game...... loads n loads of action stuffed........with some really funky combo moves you can perform.....definately worth playing......

You will like UT3 if you are into fast paced gameplay. You will like it even more if you haven't played the previous editions of Unreal Tournament. Plus UT 3 is not yet officially available in India and you cannot play online with a pirated copy.

u can its all about which crack/patch u using or if you are able to fine a cracked server you should be on.....use uncle google to know more about cracked servers.................................. I played UT3 online and its really worth it......

I have played MP1,MP2, FEAR,Farcry. I didn't mention these cuz I mentioned newer games.Doom 3 was good for me.
I have tried nearly all racing games.(thats why I didnt want them to be mentioned )

I havent tried Quake 4,Rainbow six vegas.Quite eager to get my hands on it.

BTW,I thought Strangehold was a ripped from Max Payne and Total Overdose.But your review seems promising.

naaa its a total different game, diff environment, diff graphic engin, more combo moves. Only the bullit time concept is same but that too is executed in a different style.

FFX1 and FFX2 play with decent speed, I was able to complete the whole games. Check out its website for compatibility list and screenshots of games. And their forums are pretty useful too.

Hows Vegas for you, I found it to be amazing, the ability to hide behind obsticals with a third person view make the game really interesting. The first 2 chapters are avg (they actually make you comfortable with the maneuverabilities), game actually kicks off when you enter the vegas city and fight you way in different casinos.
And your team actually works with an respectable AI, which is usually difficult to find in a squad based game.....

I am about to complete Vegas 2 (not interesting as Vegas 1) and than I will start "Mass Effect" another game which has brought some new techniques and dimensions.........

The game's good.I am on third mission.

Also playing TimeShift. This game is good too.Well the S.S.A.M. suit which the protagonist wears has the abilities to stop,slow and reverse time
