Microsoft's websites not opening but downloads working???

hi...
i use BSNL broadband in nagpur and my problem is that i cannot open any of the microsoft's websites i.e. only on the microsoft.com domain,rest like msn.com, hotmail.com etc are working... however i can open microsoft.com websites using kproxy.com... however i can easily download files from microsoft.com like i downloaded xp sp3 from direct download link from microsoft's website which i got using kproxy... can anyone solve my problem?

i use d-link GLB-502T ADSL router to connect to BSNL...i called up d-link customer care and the tech-lady guided me as to set MTU value of my connection to 1442 in my modem setup software... and now all microsoft sites are working...
