View Full Version : System freezes when connected to internet

My computer freezes when connected to internet. This happens occassionaly and then there is no other option other than manually restart it. But then too system shows difficulty to boot in. I searched the machine with BitDefender and Spybot and there are
no threats detected. Any idea why this would happen? (Os used is XP2, Browse Opera , 2GB RAM , AMD Dual Core 2.01Ghz..)

pls try to switch off automatic update in windows, it may try to connect to internet when u connect to internet - But I don't think system will freeze - Can u post what type of internet connection u use....

i use 2Mbps broadband..and yes i hadn't turnedoff auto update ( how i skipped that..??)
any more info DigitDonz..??

It's so simple.. Just go into Control Panel ( Start -> Run -> Control ) and then switch to Security Center and then to Automatic Updates and then switch off..

yeah..i did that already and it seems ok for the time being...
