age of empires 3 question

Hey just started playing aoe 3 . Sort of disappointed coz its more like a sequel to mythology and not conquerors .
I have absolutely adored age of empiers 1 and age of empires 2.

Have some questions

1. attack points and other details of of various units are hidden. why??? this seems very different from aoe2.

2. how to counter musketeers and skirmishers? the pc is sending hoards of veteran muskeeteers that pick on my cavalry one unit at a time.. outposts have been of little help...

1)in aoe3 ter is no option for advanced detailes abt units...tat kinda sux :( u cant chose formations and stuff...
2)counter musketteers with skirmishers, and skirmishers with heavy cavalry,light infantry and artillery....chek this out for more info
