My brother is planning to buy a new mobile. His budget is Rs.20,000. He needs a good camera and music phone. Can any body suggest a good phone at that rate? :)

very frankly speaking i also wanted to but N82 as it is a complete feature packed... but the looks are YAKS... so i simply didnt considered it and bought K850i... and i am loving this phone

I think its camera is better than N82 or K850 but what about its sound quality? Is it better than N82 or K850?

k850 beats any phone when it comes to sound quality..at par or better than walkman phones..it packs a punch to any phone out there..the interface is aweusm..psp style..u will love it...the k850 gives u that oomph factor that the others lack

Sony Ericsson K850i is the best as of now looking at your demand. But if your brother is at a place where he can access WiFi and would like to use it through phone you should think about N82 since thats the only thing it has extra compared to K850i

what does ur bro want..if u want all the features in the n82 and can live with the way it looks.go for it..else look at the k850 .where do u live btw???does it have enough SE support...leave alone LG...go thru the service stations in ur area and then decide on what u r gonna do...

K 850 have v.good audio quality(with earphones).But its implementation of "touch" & flash problems dont impress me.But it still won the Engadget "Best Phone(non-smartphone) award.N 82 is more feature packed.So the choice is urs.

Yes it will work...U can view videos and still photos on the TV by this...

From the deepest depth of my heart, i thank estato members for not letting me to choose K850.Show me a single review where this $hitty phone held the top position with trillions of firmware updates.Too bad it still produces only 2-3 out 10 good pics coupled with crappy A200 platform.

And if you mean that was the only difference comment,I based that on performance of the music player and the camera of both. I have used both of them. And TV out feature just sounds very cool I dont find it that cool.

And specially looks wise K850i exceeds N82, I personally find it a bit ugly compared to other nokia phones.

Both of them now cost nearly same, so I guess it depends on you Shreejith as to which one do you want.

Just wi-fi doesn't quite explain the differences in features between N82 and K850i. N82 has a bigger display, stereo speakers, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, supports up to VGA resolution video recording at 30 fps, Symbian OS and as you mentioned, TV out and wi-fi. Plus there is the brighter Xenon flash and better camera performance and an auto-rotate function that works throughout the menu and not just in the media player, I think the extra money you spend is pretty well spent. In fact K850i seems like a rather poor deal in comparison. Its you money though. Spend it wisely or just blow it; what do I care.

120 fps only works for slow motion videos. For normal videos the framerate is 30fps in Viewty.

Speaking of new phones, Samsung U900 Soul is an equally new phone and still comes up with better pictures than G900. What is your explanation about that?

anad make no mistake..the g900 is not here to replace the p1i..the successsor the p1i wil be announced in may, and will sport a 5 mp cam, wifi, gps..et etc..an all in one phone from SE...

the p1i has a qwerty keyboard which the g900 lacks..a bigger screen,etc etc..doesnt the symbian phones by nokia sell side by side..it will just be a matter of taste...SE will announce more than 7 UIQ phones this year..a high end walkman with 5 mp cam,the p5i(hi end smartphone),low end smartphones,mid end walkmans...and obviously..the 7.2 shooter(will be on the a250 platform)..

Yup I'm sure, its 18k here. And I'm guessing the actual price of G900 would be around 20k while G700 will cost around 17k. By then P1i will also drop down to 17k so then if somebody wants a QWERTY keypad, he'll get P1i otherwise they'll get G700. If G900 costs 16 here, phones like K850i, P1i, W910i, W890i will become history.

@krazzy...well..i know peaple who will still buy feature phones over the g900...the g900 is termed..uiq for the masses..and trust me..it will retail at less than 20k..more bout 18k mayb..and yea..the p1i will be out of production from august itself...he newer uiq phones will flood the market then..but the a200 platform will still hold an awesum market share...the g700 will be 15k at the max...300$ as quoted by mobile review...and SE and nokia phones generally cost a bit less here...
