If I need to connect a laptop to a PC do i need a crossover cable ??

or can i use my USB extension cable ?? i.e. a wire having male USB port in one end ( PC ) and female in the other end ( Laptop ).. is it possible ??

u can surely connect them with the help of cross-ove cable ..

is this the USB cable u talking abt???

do lemme know if ur succesfull in connecting them via USB,iam too intrested in buying that cable..will make a deal ... :) !!

If your Laptop & PC both have a LAN Card then i would suggest you
to use a RJ45 CrossoverCable.

Configure IPs on both and then share your data between the 2.

A crossover cable is the best and the easeest way it also is the cheapest way to do so. It is possible to use a usb "patch" cable but is expensive. The normal "USB extension cable" will not work.
