I have an AMD 4000+ with an ASUS M2NPV-VM Mobo with 2GB RAM and 2 SATA HDDs. I boot from a 160GB and Store all Data on a Seagate 250GB.
The250 GB is behaving strangely. :confused:I t shows up on the BIOS and Device manager but does not show on My Computer.
I have so far :-|
Reloaded Windows XP sp2 on the 160GB
Run Sea tools for Windows on the 250GB it has failed both the short and long drive self test.
Run the Seatools DOS on the 250GB and it has passed both the short and long drive self tests without a hitch????
My technician say Format the Drive and Kiss all the Data Goodbye:mad:
Result so far I cannot access my DATA
Suggestions and advice welcome

Use a data recovery software like Active Partition recovery and try to backup as much as possible. Format and/or partition the drive. Might help.
