Hi guys,
The problem is when i select a theme from Emerald Theme Manager (like Mac4Lin or else) the window border changes fine but the buttons(forward/backword/refresh etc) doesnt change (it remains Ubuntu Human's).
I have made changes in CCSM by typing emerald as Windows Decorator.
Further whenever i select Custom from Appearances it changes to Compiz-Fusion alright but when i check it again its selected as Normal or Extras.

If i have selected emerald as default window decorator so changes through Appearances should not take place when i change icons but it does even though Emerald is selected and running.

I have Intel 845GVSR Mobo.

Emerald themes only change window borders and not any other part of a window. For the buttons you need to get normal GTK themes from Gnome-Look or elsewhere.

Ok got my answer to the 1st query. Now what about the 2nd? ie When i select Custom then why it reverts back to Normal or Extras in Visuals Tab upon re-check?

@Querty : No offence bhai :)

then probably compiz is running.
emerald requires compiz to run.

custom option means compiz.
if compiz is running why bother about options??

with compiz, there may be some options available for intel, ati, nvidia Xorg drivers to improve performace.
for eg:
my nvidia options in /etc/X11/xorg.conf :-

Section "Device"
Identifier "nVidia Corporation G70 [GeForce 7300 GT]"
Driver "nvidia"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
Option "TripleBuffer" "True"
Option "AddARGBVisuals" "True"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
Option "NoLogo" "True"
Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"
Option "RenderAccel" "True"
Option "DPI" "96 x 96"
EndSection

@ rahim - try a 'emerald --replace' and then in appearance tab in visual effects, first set it to normal then then to extra and then maybe to custom if u want.
