I wish to install a disto on my 128MB pendrive. The requirement is that it should have some program to read my presentation and word files. I don't need the whole Open Office.
Which would be the most suitable?

whole oo.org and a distro with X on 128MB. Is that even possible?

I don't need the whole Open Office.
I should just be able to read my presentations. Or better still, also my word documents. I usually use the OO format to save.

for word documents there is abiword, but it doesn't read odt yet :(
As for presentation, one way around is to export them as pdf and install xpdf, which is quite light.

If it is just for the presentation I recall NucleusCore talking about portable apps. If I recall correctly I think Ooo is one of them . So check that out. If the above is the case then you don't need to install the distro which might help.

ok. So which distro should I go for? Puppy?, DSL?

It's not just for the presentations. It's just so that I can give presentations on the (always)virus infected laptop in my college.

why don't you purchase a bigger drive, as Flash drives are pretty cheap these days.

I think you can get a 8Gb for 800 so, as my friend told:D

Ya I am thinking on those lines too. But I don't want to buy anything less than 8GB and currently I am a bit poor :D

Actually it does, there's a plugin that does it.
I dont know where you can get it though, never bothered to look as it comes by default with zenwalk.
P.S : odt rocks!!:D

Did you try SLAX (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2006/09/20/all-in-one-usb-slaxzip/). You need at least 256 MB drive.
