I tried installing Fedora 8.
While installing,i selected to upgrade "Fedora core 6" by Fedora 8.
All the things were fine like partitoning, grub install etc.
Then it showed checking dependencies of packages for install & it gets stuck after a certain time.

Also i tried installing from my Lite - On drive,it did not even booted the DVD & produced the following error :

My system configuration :

MSI PM8M - V motherboard
VIA Unichrome Pro IGP(64 MB) graphics onboard

Please give me your solutions on this.

Did you do the dvd check at startup? Did it show any errors? Definitely some problems accessing the DVD in the 2nd instance.

I did not perform media check.I will do it & notify you.
Also why is the DVD able to boot from Samsung drive & not from Liteon drive(2nd instance).
If it is indeed not burnt properly,it should not boot from none of the drives.
