Websites got blocked : need help

Recently my brother installed 'Block website buddy' just for fun :D and now i've uninstalled it now. But even after uninstalling it has blocked yahoo, orkut, google and other websites. It says that i have to buy the software to unblock it :mad:. Is there any way to unblock it

I've also wanted to say dont download or buy this software :mad::mad::mad:

Are you sure its completely uninstalled? If yes, clear the registry entries of that app. If not uninstall the app using Revo Uninstaller

i've completely unistalled it...scanned with spyware doctor....still no use

backup important files and reinstall ur OS

or restore the PC to early date.

maybe its added some entries to your hosts file or to the internet restricted sites/zone; but did not reverse the additions during install... or maybe it corrupted your dns cache ... see if this (http://www.winvistaclub.com/t37.html) helps you sort the issue.

I agree with anandk. Check your Zones in Internet Explorer
