guys.. help me out with this...
I am building a HTPC an i need a good set of "wireless keyboard + mouse" for it under Rs 2000. It has to have bluetooth connection rather than infra red. Also it will be better if the mouse is a laser mouse rather than an optical one http://gigasmilies.googlepages.com/yes.gif. Plz mention the no. and type of batteries it requires. Also mention the weight (light or heavy) if you guys have any idea about it.
plz mention the company and the model no. anything 'around' Rs 2K will do http://gigasmilies.googlepages.com/111.gif

Which TV Tuner are you going to use & Which Operating System? Are you buying the Wireless keyboard & Mouse just for controlling the HTPC & WMC?
If its Vista, then buy a TV Tuner with WMC support, you will get a Windows Media Center compatible remote with it. With this you do not need any keyboard or mouse to control the HTPC & WMC from a distance.
The choices will be
WinFast DTV1800 H Media Center Edition (http://www.leadtek.com/eng/tv_tuner/overview.asp?lineid=6&pronameid=388) (Analog + Digital)
WinFast TV2000 XP Global Media Center Edition (http://www.leadtek.com/eng/tv_tuner/overview.asp?lineid=6&pronameid=387) (Analog only)
Pinnacle PCTV Tuner Kit for Windows Vista (http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/uk/Products/Consumer+Products/PCTV+Tuners/PCTV+Vista+Companion/PCTV+Tuner+Kit+for+Windows+Vista.htm) (Analog only)
Another method is using your bluetooth enabled phone to control your desktop, WMC & HTPC like you control using keyboard.
If you still want a Keyboard & Mouse combination then raise your budget, you cannot get a Laser Mouse + Keyboard within Rs 2k.
You can get Microsoft Optical Desktop Elite for Bluetooth (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=033), but it is optical mouse based & costs more then Rs 2k.
Another choice is Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/140&cl=in,en) but not bluetooth.
Or you can buy seperately but not in bluetooth. Check in the local market for available solutions.

thanks for d help dude... actually what i am building is not exactly a HTPC. i am actually buying a 21" LCD monitor for my PC so that i can enjoy movies in a big screen rather than my 15" CRT and am lazy enough that i dont want to getup in order to fast forward or stop a movie or music... and hence needed a wireless Keyboard + Mouse set http://gigasmilies.googlepages.com/69.gif.
by d way wht is d cost of d microsoft n d logitech one... u did not mention them. thanks for d info anyway http://gigasmilies.googlepages.com/3.gif.

Because you can control your PC, WMC & any HTPC software using your Phone :P.
Don't buy wireless gear, just buy a bluetooth adapter if u don't have it already & connect your phone as a Bluetooth human interface device.
What is the config of your HTPC? The workstation I m using also acts up as a HTPC, hell...it acts up like anything...
1) Workstation
2) Music Jukebox
3) Home theator (with headphones :P)
4) Gaming machine...
I use Windows Vista with Pinnacle PCTV Tuner kit for Vista. I got a remote with the TV Tuner using which I can control WMC as the TV Tuner works fine in WMC. I see all my videos & listen to music in WMC now when I m free from a distance of 8 feet (my bad). No need to use a keyboard mouse at all...
If you can't buy all these, then simply buy a bluetooth adapter & I will tell you how to control your computer using the phone
