Help me in chosing graphics card and MotherBoard

this is the confg. i have planned.... Is this ok..... or not
Configuration: Intel core 2 duo(3.0ghz),
intel's P965 mother board??????Any other good board than this?????:confused: :confused: :confused:
2*1 GB DDR2 RAM 667 (kingston),
200GB HDD(seagate),
256MB graphics card(asus en8600GT or GF8500GT)?????:confused: :confused: :confused: ,
LCD moniter 17" TFT(view sonic or samsumg):confused: :confused: :confused: ,

I do little gaming and i am intrested in designing(mechanical engg.)
pls suggest me some mother boards and its speciality.......

For motherboard go for intel p35 based one eg. abit p35 based one coz htey are much more future proff than p965 based boards.

As for monitor opt for 19 inch viewsonic, samsung, aoc etc instead of 17 inch
