February 28, 2008 (Macworld UK) Apple (http://computerworld.com/action/inform.do?command=search&searchTerms=Apple+Inc.), Research In Motion (http://computerworld.com/action/inform.do?command=search&searchTerms=Research+In+Motion+Ltd.) and ZTE took places among the world's top 10 mobile phone makers in 2007, new research from Gartner Inc. (http://computerworld.com/action/inform.do?command=search&searchTerms=Gartner+Inc.) claims.

Despite being available in only four markets — the U.S., U.K., Germany and France — the iPhone (http://computerworld.com/action/inform.do?command=search&searchTerms=Apple+iPhone) transformed Apple into the world's 10th largest handset maker in the fourth quarter of 2007, the analysts said.
RIM took sixth place, while low-cost handset manufacturer ZTE, which specializes in delivering devices to emerging markets, took seventh place.

Apple holds 0.6% of the world market, while RIM has 1.2%. Motorola saw its share fall to 11.9% from 21.5%. Nokia, at 40.4%, and Samsung (http://computerworld.com/action/inform.do?command=search&searchTerms=Samsung+Corporation), at 13.4%, continue to dominate global handset sales.

next what ? mac joins top 5 OS families ? With the toppers of the list holding a humungous share in the market, its silly to say that 0.6 % is in top 10. There is NO top then list because the competition is between very few companies, with ones in the top(motorolla, nokia and samsung) and some in the middle(LG, Siemens, etc) have the remaining chunks of share. The rest have tooooooo low a market share to be in any list.

This way, I can say that OS/2 made it to the top ten OS family list, despite the fact that hardly anyone use it.

I know of a side bar based RSS reader for FireFox, but I still haven't figured out what to do with it. I never found RSS useful. do you know any good feeds ?

These days every darn site has an RSS Feed.
For starters i'd give you this:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/GarfieldComics

P.S : Guess it's time for a "Post Your Feeds" thread :D

http://www.conduit.com/
then why do you keep saying "that site"... instead of conduit.com ?

and isn't there a script available to embed an external RSS feed into a Site's sidebar ?

na.. I dont want to continue using this toolbar, or announce my site's visitors to use this. I'm just using it see how it works.

And sidebar, no toolbar, come back to topic..

you guys lean more towards offtopic.. its useless sometimes
