Hard disk quarry...!

I have 2 segate sata hard disk, 80 gb each and both are connected to my pc and one has a 4 partition which is installed with vista and other has two partition but no OS is there..
now in my bias both the hard disk is showing as master, but my pc is running ok taking more time at start up... after that it is ok...
now my qsn is is it necessary to make the 2nd hard disk slave and the 1st one as master....?

You need to change the jumpers of the hard disk. You'll need to open up your box and see it. If you don't know, consult your vendor.

My understanding is that SATA drives do not go by master/slave configuration. Now I'm confused :D
