Dvd writer not able to burn CDs?

I got a IMATION DVD DRIVE 16x 6months old i guess..I got a problem wit it..it is not able to burn cds but it burns dvds..Whenever i put cd for writin it gives me an error saying "POWER CALIBRATION
ERROR"...Is der anyway to solve it..

in my case it is the dvd which is not burning....yet to find a solution...damn i may have to go all the way to the service center...and no parking in that congested areas...these seller almost always point me to the service center
